Mother's Day Weekend

I had the best time ever over Mother's Day weekend. It started out that we were going to go to my inlaws on Saturday night, and my parents on Sunday. Well, plans changed as Kyle had to close on Saturday night, so we decided not to go without him. So I texted Katrina to tell her I was bummed as I declined the invitation to Sarah's wedding on Saturday. Katrina told me to go with her and Scott and stay with them in their cabin for the night. Mind you, it was 12:30 when were texting, and they were leaving at 1:15. I hadn't showered, had nothing in mind to wear to the wedding, much less a bag packed. I hauled ass and got ready, and was ready when they came and picked me up. I was so FLIPPIN EXCITED! It was the Katrina and Scott show driving to the mountains, I was cracking up the whole time(other then when we were going up the mountain, then I was just trying not to puke, as I do get car sick) We made it there and were off to find the cabin. The cabin was AMAZING!! We were in the Storybook Cottage, which had 3 bedrooms which were Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and The Three Bears, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. And we had the patio of all patios, it was HUGE, with a babbling pond. I was in heaven. Then it was time to get ready for the wedding. It was beautiful, Sarah and Jimi looked awesome. Perfect day for a mountain wedding!! Then it was party time, and party I did. I haven't partied like that in such a long time, so yes, I was drunk! I had a great time dancing, thank you Scott!! Once the wedding was over, we went back to the cabin, and put our PJ's on. Katrina & I went to sit out on the patio and chill, well, Sarah's aunts cabin was right next door, and they brought all the alcohol back there, and we were invited over to join in the afterparty. We partied till 1:30am. What a blast. I finally fell asleep at 2:00am and woke up at 6:00am, feeling every bit of all the alcohol I consumed. UGH! I got dressed and went and sat outside and felt much better. Scott came out a little bit later and joined me. Once Katrina got up and ready, we went out to breakfast, then headed home. We got home around 12:00, (and I had the prettiest flowers waiting for me from Kyle <3) and I had to turn right back around and drive to Yorba Linda to spend Mother's Day with my mom. (Rick & Kyle had a concert to go to). Traffic sucked, it took me over an hour to get there, but once I made it there I had a great time with my parents, my brother, my sister in law, and my nephew. We BBQ'd and just sat around and talked. Another beautiful day. A little later Stacey invited me over to there house to watch the Angels game and just hang out, so that is what I did. I didn't make it home till 10:00 that night. What an AWESOME WEEKEND!!! THANK YOU KATRINA for letting me tagalong with you and Scott! I will remember this weekend forever!!

So this morning our most FAVORITE, AWESOMEST, TOTALLY COOL UPS Driver, Mr. Ron Javier told us he will not be doing our 4:00 pick-up anymore(he will still do the drop offs) so we will be getting a new driver! That made us all very sad. So I said we need to put up signs for when he comes today. So we all got into doing all kinds of signs! Check it out! I will be video taping as well!! We LOVE OUR RON!!

24lbs lost..do not want them found!! Thank You!!

Just wanted to take this time to thank all my friends & family for all the continued love & support, inspiration & motivation to keep me moving forward each & everyday with my workouts & healthier eating habits. As of today I have lost a total of 24 pounds since the beginning of February. Some days are definately harder then others, but I now know, I can do this, and I will continue to work hard to lose more weight and get myself healthy. Thanks again my friends & family! I love you all!!!

WTH??? Still don't know how I did this!!

Woke up on Monday morning unable to move my right wrist at all! Went to work for a couple of hours then went to Urgent Care as I couldn't handle the pain anymore. Doc sent me for x-rays(after giving me a shot in my bum :-( yes, it hurt) X-rays came back with nothing broken, just a sprain. So now I am wrapped and braced for 2 weeks! Yea right...it's already feeling MUCH better so I'm thinking by this weekend I will have ditched the wrap & brace.

What a Great Weekend!! :-)

Had a great weekend. Got up on Saturday morning, walked on the treadmill, showered, then went to the preschool to help Karu with paperwork. Barb, Deb & Judy showed up to have a meeting with Karu, so I was able to talk with them for awhile and Karu bought us pizza for lunch. Just chilled at home on Saturday night & Rick made awesome pollo asada tacos. Sunday I got up and got ready to go to the Angels game with Laura & Peanut. Got to Laura's and picked her and Peanut up and headed to the game. We had awesome seats, but it was so hot out there, so around the 5th inning we got up and walked around a bit then found some seats in the shade(in the same section, so they were still great seats). Pujols hit his first ANGELS homerun on Sunday as well! And we won!!! After the game we went to JT Schmid's restaurant for a quick bite to eat, and it was so yummy!!! After we ate, we went to Laura's for awhile so Peanut could nap, then we went to Wal-Mart and shopped till we dropped! It was a long AWESOME day. Didn't get home until 10:00!! I love my WEEKENDS!!!

Cinco De Mayo Fiesta

We celebrated Cinco De Mayo a day early at Pacific Advisors with our Fiesta Potluck. We had Tacos, Chicken Enchiladas, Rice, Beans, Corn Cakes, Chips & Salsa, and Margaritas(virgin of course). We also include other suite mates to join in the fun. As always, it was so much fun. It's really nice to do this once a month, yes, we have one scheduled for each month. Next month it's a beach theme! Can't wait!!!!

Relay for Life

I have always wanted to do a relay for a cause, but have known that with as heavy as I have been, I would never be able to finish a 5k or any type of relay/race/walk, so I always just sit back and watch. This past year, I have decided not sit back and watch anymore. It is my time to get healthy, lose weight, and join the masses. Since January, I have lost 20 pounds, I am eating healthier, and hitting the gym M-F after work. My blood sugar has been down, as well as my BP. So, when I saw all the ads for the Relay For Life event, I told myself, I am going to do this. I had been posting on Facebook that I wanted to get a team together. I wasn't getting any responses, but finally, I talked to Katrina, and between the two of us, we have gotten a team together. We will be participating in the Murrieta Relay For Life on June 2nd & 3rd. We could still use more team members if you are interested, and if you can't join us, maybe you can donate to this great cause. There is a link on my Facebook page if you would like to donate.I am so very excited. Our team name is 50 Shades Fighting and we have designed an awesome t-shirt for our team! It's going to be a great time for a great cause. I myself, am walking in memory of Phil Heldrich, one of my best friends husband who lost his battle with cancer in November 2010 at the age of 45, and for Princess Hayley(whom I only met once at my cousins wedding, but had me at Hello) who lost her battle in December 2011 at the mere age of 7, and for all the others that have lost their battle with this dreaded disease. I am also proud to walk in Honor of one of my best friends, Steve Ferrell, who is a Prostate Cancer Survivor. I hope to make this event an annual part of my life.
Thank You Katrina for helping me get this team together, and for keeping me on track. I couldn't have made it this far without you. :-)
