July 2008

July was a fairly good month. My cousins from Virgina came to visit us in good ol'Southern California. It was so awesome seeing them. We had a great time. We went to Disneyland, Lucky Strike Bowling, Laguna Beach, and they came the Storm game for the 4th of July. It was just too bad that they could only stay for a few days, as I really wanted to spend more time with them. Kyle spent most of his days at football practice which he is still really enjoying! He can't wait for the season to actually start, which isn't until September. We had a pretty good earthquake this month also. It was a 5.8 or a 5.3 they kept changing it. It hit my parents house really hard, they had quite a bit of damage, but luckily no one was hurt. Kyle was home by himself, still laying in bed, and it scared him pretty badly. This was the first BIG earthquake that he had ever felt...and to be home alone, kinda freaked him out. Rick and I were both at work. No damages at our house or our works. The only real downfall of the month is that my Grandma was very ill and they didn't know how much longer she was going to live. We didn't have a great relationship until she moved to Southern California a couple of years ago. Now that she lived closer, Kyle and I would visit her more often, and we really enjoyed that time. When I found out how ill she was I wanted to go see her, but my parents advised against it, as she didn't know who anyone was, and my dad said she didn't even look like herself. He said it would be much better for me to remember her the way she was the last time I saw her. I had to go with his wishes.

Angels Game June 17th

I had such a good time at the Angels Game. Not only did my boys in Red win, but I was able to go see my brick that my awesome brother got me for Mother's Day. It was soooooo cool!! I love it!! I have attached some pictures for your enjoyment too.

Just wanted to add a picture from when we went to Disneyland on June 7th. This is me, Rick, Kyle and my nephew Chris....oh, and my favorite Disney Friend....GOOFY!!! We had a great time when we went, other then the HEAT!! Chris and Kyle cooled off right away going on Grizzley Bear Rapids. Although, Kyle got the worst of it....he was soaking wet. It was pretty funny to say the least. Anyway, enjoy the pic!!

Going to the Angels Game!!!

I am getting ready to go to the Angels game tonight. I can't wait!! My neighbor gave me 4 tickets, and seeing as tonight is my dad's birthday, I am taking him and my mom...oh and Kyle too. Rick is working now, so he couldn't go. He and Kyle went on Father's Day anyway. It's my turn to go. I am looking forward to going so I can see my brick that my brother got me for Mother's Day as it is now in the ground at Angels Stadium. Kyle sent me a pic of it on Sunday, check it out!! This is one of the BEST presents I have ever received!! I also have a replica of the brick. My mom keeps teasing me that people are going to walk all over me now, not to mention spit on me. Nice huh?? Oh well. So I guess it might not be a good idea to lay on the ground and have my picture taken next to it huh? I think that my parents would disown me if I did that. But who knows...Maybe??? I will let you know more when I blog again!!!

I'm Back

So it's been a while since I blogged. I have been busy trying to work 2 jobs and keep myself sane. Oh wait....I haven't been sane for a long time!!! LOL!! Working at the Storm has been quite fun....seeing as I like ok...LOVE baseball. I enjoy my time outside when I work the info booth...and I even had my BFF David come visit me one night, while he was here on business...that was really cool. He was there on Family Night, so of course I was really busy and didn't get to visit with him as much as I would have liked to. Oh well, maybe next time!! We had Firefighter appreciation night last Thursday Night...and I was working the info. booth, so I got to check out all the "HOT" firefighters. Good Times!!! Actually a friend of mine that works there was really enjoying it. I guess it's more fun when your single!! On Saturday we went to Disneyland, Rick, Kyle, Chris(my nephew) and myself. I really didn't want to go as I knew it was going to be hot and crowded. Well, it was, but it wasn't as bad as I had thought. Rick and I did a lot of sitting and people watching while the teenagers took off and did things on their own. I was so good with that. Went on a few rides, and had a good time. We got there at 11:00am and left at 11:00pm. So it was a real full day. Oh yea, Rick got a job and he started on Monday. He is working at a bike shop in Temecula...not too far from me...so we can go to lunch sometimes. I am just so happy he found a job, as my stress level was at it's breaking point. Today was Kyle's last day of school, so he is not a Freshman anymore....he is now a Sophomore. Oh boy!!! Okay...I am sure much more has happened over the past month or so, but I just can't think right now. I will do my best to blog more often...just hard to find the time. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking!! Blog at ya soon!!!
